NHS App and Online Access
Newbridge Surgery will be holding regular Drop – In sessions on the First Thursday of each month to assist our patients with signing up to the NHS App and Online Access to Medical Records we can also advise about the new Patient Online Triage System. This will be between 1.30pm to 4.00pm. Please bring 2 forms of ID with you. Thank you.

The following services are now available online:
- Book and cancel appointments with the doctor
- Order your repeat prescriptions
- Limited access to your medical record (medications, allergies, laboratory test results, immunisations, problems, and coded information from consultations
You should first complete a form to sign up to your chosen online services and hand it to the receptionist, with two forms of ID, one of which should have a photo (such as a UK passport or driving licence) and the other should have your address (such as a council tax bill). If you don’t have photo ID or anything with your address on it, it doesn’t mean you will not be able to use online services, our practice staff may be able to help.
The receptionist will process your application whilst you are at the surgery and hand you your personal confidential log in details. You will then be able to sign in to your selected online services.

Try the NHS App
You can now use the NHS App, a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services and your GP account on your smartphone or tablet.
You can use the NHS App to check your symptoms and get instant advice, book appointments, order repeat prescriptions, view your GP medical record, access your Covid vaccination status and more.
If you already use online access you can continue to use it. You can use the NHS App as well.

Online Consult
You can contact us about a medical, administrative or prescription issue online. Answer a few short questions and we will get back to you within 2 working days. Please do not use this online form for urgent or emergency requests. The submitted forms will only be read during office hours.
The forms will not be read on the weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) or on bank holidays. They will be read Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.00am to 5.00pm. Please contact 111 during out of hours or 999 if this is an emergency.
You can gain access to useful information with regard to your symptoms via Online Consult. If you are still concerned you can send us a message from within your selected topic and you will receive a response within 2 working days. The Patient Access App will make this process easier, if you are interested please speak to the practice for your login details.
